
SCA CVA Course for Cuppers - :
The Coffee Value Assessment (CVA) for Cuppers Course is a two-day advanced training designed for experienced coffee cuppers. During the course, participants will be introduced to the Specialty Coffee Association's (SCA) updated CVA framework, which serves as a comprehensive tool for assessing coffee's overall value. The program is highly interactive, featuring hands-on sessions that include multiple cuppings, informative lectures, and collaborative discussions.
By the end of the course, attendees will be equipped to incorporate the SCA’s Coffee Value Assessment tools into their regular cupping routines. Key learning outcomes include:

Recognizing and applying the latest CVA sensory references.

Understanding the purpose and origins of essential sensory evaluation tools such as the 15-point intensity scales, Check-All-That-Apply (CATA) lists, and 9-point hedonic scales.

Effectively using the CVA’s Descriptive and Affective Forms to assess and articulate coffee quality.

Applying the full CVA system, encompassing descriptive, affective, and extrinsic evaluation methods.
